This piece started in my Junior English notebook. It was a sketch that I later returned too. In this piece my objectives were to tell a story by using the most painterly aspects of acrylics. I usually 'draw' with acrylics, using solid colors. In this piece I focused on using complementary colors and shapes to create balance. The sun is large and warm, and the fire-scape warm and skinny. The moon is cool and skinny, and the ice-scape cool and large. To represent the creation of life story, I put the sun and moon embracing between Niflheim and Muspell, where the ice was said to melt into the waters of life. Around the sun and moon is a thin green outline, to symbolize life emmitting from the middle.
